In the case of a young woman from Germany who has been missing for over ten years, there is evidence pointing to the American sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The name of 22-year-old Michele appears according to research by the ZDF documentary format “The Trace” and des “Mirror” in the so-called “Epstein Files”. Epstein committed suicide in prison in 2019. He had abused numerous women and minors.
According to the research, the young woman left her mother’s apartment in 2015, then she was lost. To this day it has not been clear where she was going. According to relatives, she was previously in contact with model scout Daniel Siad, a Swede with Algerian roots, who, according to the research, is said to have worked as a recruiter for Epstein.
Epstein-Files: “Looks 18, very interesting person”
Michele always wanted to model, the father of the missing woman explained in research by ZDF and “Spiegel”. “He then offered to take photos and that’s how they got to know each other,” he said. Shortly before she disappeared, he heard a phone conversation between the two.
According to ZDF and “Spiegel”, the name of the model scout appears around 1,800 times in the Epstein files. He and Epstein talked several times about young women or girls. “26, but she looks like 18, very interesting person,” it says in one chat.
Siad also allegedly sent photos of Michele to Epstein in 2014. He also probably asked for a plane ticket and wrote Epstein: “You will love her.” It is not clear from the Epstein files whether the 22-year-old actually met Epstein.
Siad is now being investigated in France on suspicion of human trafficking and rape. He denies the allegations and is presumed innocent.
Michele’s fate remains unknown
The police initially did not take any major action after the missing person was reported in October 2015 because there was no evidence of a crime. In the spring of 2026, at the request of ZDF and “Spiegel”, the police said that a public search for the then 22-year-old was still not planned. In the meantime, the authorities want to check whether an investigation into a possible crime should be initiated.
The journalists were unable to clarify where Michele is today or whether she is still alive. The fate of the then 22-year-old remains unclear.
