A pink albino buffalo, nicknamed “Donald Trump” because of his blonde hair, was spared from Eid al-Adha sacrifice following a last-minute government intervention. An official from the Bangladesh Interior Ministry said this on Wednesday, according to the Reuters news agency.

The buffalo, which weighs almost 700 kilos, had actually already been sold for ritual slaughter. Because of the huge public interest, the authorities intervened at short notice. For security reasons, Interior Minister Salahuddin Ahmed ordered the animal to be spared and the price to be refunded to the buyer.
Instead of at the sacrifice site, “Donald Trump” now ends up in the National Zoo in Dhaka.
