The former First Lady of the USA, Jill Biden, worried about her husband’s health during the TV duel between Joe Biden and the then Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump in 2024. “I thought, oh my God, he’s having a stroke, and that scared the hell out of me,” she said in a pre-released segment on CBS News’ “Sunday Morning.”

Biden said about her then 81-year-old husband that she didn’t know what happened that day. “I was scared because I had never seen Joe like that before and never since,” said the former first lady.
The Democrat Joe Biden came under heavy criticism because of his unsuccessful appearance in a TV duel with Trump in the summer of 2024. Party members also suddenly began to more or less openly question whether Biden was physically and mentally fit enough for another term in office.
Almost a month after the TV duel, he finally announced his retirement. Vice President Kamala Harris then ran for the Democrats in the race against Trump – and lost in the November election. (sda/dpa)
