Safeguards for the EU steel market
Immediately after the opening of the session, MEPs and Commissioner Costas Kadis for the Commission will discuss the new safeguards for EU steel manufacturers against global overcapacity agreed with the member states last month.Parliament’s final vote on the new legislation will take place tomorrow.

From around 20.00, MEPs and Health Commissioner Olivér Várhelyi will debate how EU countries can work closely together to secure access to pharmaceuticals in shifting and challenging geopolitical times.

Fisheries and the marine environment. From around 18.30, MEPs and Fisheries Commissioner Costas Kadis will look into the impact on fisheries of the Maritime Spatial Planning Directive, followed by a vote on Wednesday.They will also discuss the multiannual plan for the Baltic Sea, with the vote scheduled for Thursday.
Research Fund for Coal and Steel. Last on the agenda from around 20.45 is a short presentation of a report on the Research Fund for Coal and Steel,the research programme and its multiannual technical and financial guidelines, in the presence of Research Commissioner Ekaterina Zaharieva.
