Emmanuel Macron joined legendary Kenyan marathon runner Eliud Kipchoge for a morning jog on a visit to Nairobi on Monday (11 May).
The French President and the two-time Olympic champion, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest marathon runners in history, maintained a light tempo over almost eight kilometers (five miles) as Mr Macron continued his tour of Africa.
Mr Macron, 48, is an avid runner. He maintained his pace but still thanked Mr Kipchoge, 41, for his “patience.”
