Karoline Leavitt is the mouthpiece of the White House and press secretary for US President Trump. She has the reputation of sometimes baring her teeth when answering critical journalists’ questions about the president’s and his government’s policies and – just like her boss – often makes it bluntly clear what she thinks of media professionals who ask unpleasant questions.
But now a clip has emerged that doesn’t really fit into this picture. During a press conference, while answering a question, Leavitt casually mentioned something that is now causing irritation and speculation:

This scene took place on April 22nd in front of the White House. Leavitt avoided a question because it was political in nature. However, as we know, she is no longer part of the president’s political team.
“I work in the White House as a government employee.”
In fact, no one seemed to know about it yet. Furthermore, it remains unclear what exactly the 28-year-old meant by that. The White House did not explain her statement in more detail, which is why there is now speculation as to whether she perhaps even wanted to distance herself from Trump.
Trump supporter from the very beginning
Leavitt has been working for Trump since she was a student and has dedicated her entire career to the president. After she served as a speechwriter and spokesperson for his campaign, he made her the youngest White House speaker in history in his second term. (lzo)
