Germany wants to finance a contract between Ukraine and the defense company Raytheon for the delivery of several hundred Patriot missiles.

In addition, the delivery of additional launch equipment for Iris-T air defense systems has been agreed with the German company Diehl Defense, the German Ministry of Defense announced in Berlin after government consultations with Ukraine.
“This project will also be financed by Germany and will significantly improve the protection of critical infrastructure and cities,” it was explained.
In addition, Germany and Ukraine have agreed to produce medium and long-range drones. The project involves the creation of a joint venture with the aim of supplying thousands of drones.
Germany will also support Ukraine in financing so-called deep strike capabilities – this involves long-range precision weapons. According to the Ministry of Defense, this includes an investment of several hundred million euros. (dab/sda/dpa)
