According to authorities, at least five people were killed in a Russian missile attack on the Ukrainian industrial city of Dnipro. At least 25 civilians were injured, 10 of them seriously.
The governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region, Olexander Hansha, wrote this on Telegram.
The Ukrainian Air Force previously reported the approach of a ballistic missile from Russia on the city. Mutual attacks by Russia and Ukraine have flared up again in full force following a ceasefire over Orthodox Easter last Sunday.
Ukraine: Drones target civilians in Kherson
Four civilians were killed in one day by Russian drone and artillery attacks southwest of Dnipro in the Ukrainian region of Kherson. In addition, at least 16 people were injured, the National Police of Ukraine in Kiev said. In three cases since Monday, Russian drones have attacked moving cars and killed the drivers or passengers.
In the Kherson region, the Dnipro River forms the front line. The regional capital of the same name, Kherson, is within range of Russian first-person view drones, whose operators, according to Ukrainian information, specifically hunt civilians and civilian vehicles.
Because of the constant danger, only around 60,000 people still live in the front-line town, which had just under 280,000 inhabitants before the war. Streets are covered with nets to keep drones out. On Tuesday morning, a drone hit a hospital in Kherson, the regional administration announced.
One dead in the Russian city of Yelets
Russia has been waging a large-scale war of aggression against Ukraine for more than four years, but is increasingly feeling the consequences at home. One woman was killed and five injured in Ukrainian counterattacks with drones in the Russian city of Yelets in the Lipetsk region. This was reported by the state news agency Tass. (nil/sda/dpa)
