The Ukrainian-American entrepreneur Leonid Radvinsky is dead. This was confirmed by his company OnlyFans on Monday Bloomberg. The millionaire fell asleep peacefully after a long battle with cancer, the pornographic content platform continues.
Radvinsky started his first porn platforms when he was a teenager. With sites like MyFreeCams, the later OnlyFans owner was one of the first to ask users to pay for pornographic content. Radvinsky came to OnlyFans in 2018, shortly before the outbreak of the corona pandemic, which gave his business model an almost unforeseeable boom.
With his platform OnlyFans, the American created the opportunity for content creators to market their own videos and images directly and to generate income through subscription models. This means they can earn money from their content independently of traditional intermediaries, and at the same time the company itself benefits significantly: According to Bloomberg, OnlyFans keeps around 20 percent of the creators’ income as commission.
Shortly before his death, the Odessa-born entrepreneur was negotiating to sell 60 percent of his company shares worth $5.5 million to an investment firm in San Francisco. However, the talks were still in the early stages, “Bloomberg” quoted a source close to Radvinsky.
