Wiles decided to start treatment “immediately” instead of waiting. He emphasized that her medical team was “fantastic” and the prognosis was “excellent.” Despite the diagnosis, Wiles will continue to perform her duties in the White House almost full-time, Trump said.
Wiles has been one of the central figures in Trump’s political environment for years. She ran his campaign organization and played a large role in his return to the White House. Trump describes Wiles as “an incredible Chief of Staff” and “one of the strongest people” he knows. He and his wife Melania supported Wiles “in every way” during this time and looked forward to “continuing to work with her on many large and wonderful projects for the country.” (val)
