Pakistan’s president has issued a rare warning to the Taliban government there in view of the escalating conflict with neighboring Afghanistan. With the latest drone attacks on Pakistan, the government in Kabul has “crossed a red line,” wrote President Asif Ali Zardari on X. Pakistan will not tolerate attacks on civilians.

Fighting broke out between the two countries at the end of February. Islamabad accuses the Islamist Taliban in Kabul of harboring terrorists who carry out attacks in Pakistan. Kabul denies this. Tensions between neighboring countries have recently increased further following mutual attacks.
Afghan drone strike on the outskirts of Islamabad
On Friday, a drone crashed into a building on the outskirts of the Pakistani capital Islamabad, Pakistani security circles confirmed. According to the information, the attack targeted a military installation.
