Melania Trump accompanied an Instagram post with a song by Bad Bunny – a few weeks after her husband complained about the Latin superstar and his performance at the Super Bowl.
The US President’s wife shared a clip on Saturday with photos of a dress that she wore at her husband’s second inauguration last year and has now donated to a museum. The post was accompanied by the Bad Bunny hit “DtMF”.
Her husband Donald Trump expressed his anger at the Latino singer just three weeks ago. Trump described Bad Bunny’s halftime performance at the Super Bowl as a “slap in the face” for the USA and one of the worst halftime shows he had ever seen.
Singer takes a position against the US government
Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, is himself an outspoken critic of Trump’s policies. In protest against the brutal operations of the US immigration authorities ICE, he recently decided not to go to concerts in the United States. With his halftime show, which he held exclusively in Spanish, the native Puerto Rican sent a political message.
Irritations in social networks
With the choice of music for her post, Melania Trump caused a lot of irritation in the comments. “I think your husband doesn’t like his songs,” someone wrote, receiving thousands of likes. The comment “The audacity of using this song” received more than 4,000 likes. (dab/sda/dpa)
