The Thai police are said to have arrested the Berlin rapper. It’s supposed to be about drugs, according to a media report.

The Berlin rapper Samra is in the headlines again. His apartment was broken into two weeks ago, and now the musician is probably having problems with the police himself. After a night of partying, he was arrested on the Thai island of Phuket, reports “Bild”.

Category 4 drugs were found on him, the newspaper quoted the police in Chalong, a town south of the island’s capital, as saying. This category includes psychotropic drugs such as the anxiety relievers diazepam, lorazepam and midazolam. Under Thai law, it is permitted to import medication for a maximum of 30 days with a prescription.
The German rapper had previously published a picture of himself and his rap colleague Nu on Instagram, showing both of them in a Thai police station. In this one, both of them are grinning into the camera, the picture is captioned with the text “Thanks for everything, brother.” The German rapper did not provide any further details.

The embassy is said to have advised a lawyer
According to “Bild”, an employee of the German embassy in Bangkok is said to have confirmed the arrest. The musician was advised to get a lawyer, which he did, the newspaper quoted the embassy employee as saying. When “Bild” called the rapper, he confirmed that he had been stopped during a traffic stop, but denied any connection with drugs. But he is now apparently free again.
Rapper Samra offered a reward for information after a break-in at his apartment in Berlin two weeks ago. «Whoever can provide me with real evidence about the perpetrators and knows. Whoever is behind it, I’ll put 30,000 euros on the table,” wrote the musician in a post on his Instagram channel, which is followed by 1.5 million people. The 31-year-old also posted a video in which open cupboards as well as clothes and boxes lying on the floor can be seen.
