A couple in Vilshofen an der Donau in Lower Bavaria had a dispute with unusual objects on Wednesday. The 60-year-old hit his wife with a dry baguette and a cloth draft excluder while his 61-year-old wife threw a hot iron out the window, police said.
According to a police spokesman, the couple actually wanted to speak out because they had been having problems in their relationship for a long time. However, instead of being clarified, the situation escalated. The man pushed his wife into the corner of the room with a clothes horse. The 61-year-old defended herself by kicking her husband’s knee, injuring him slightly.
The woman probably threw the iron out of the window out of fear of getting hurt herself. The couple were only separated when the police intervened. Both are now being investigated for assault and coercion.
