Even before the new Epstein files were published on Friday, it was known that US President Donald Trump had contacts with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in the past. The newly published files provide further evidence of how close this connection may have been – even if they are currently only unconfirmed allegations and indications.
However, they seem to be reason enough for some former Trump supporters to distance themselves from the US President. This also includes US boxer Ryan Garcia, who presented himself as a big supporter of Trump before publication.
Boxer Ryan Garcia withdraws support for Trump
Garcia had previously criticized the Trump administration’s crackdown on immigrants in Los Angeles, such as “Huffpost” reported, but did not withdraw its support completely. That has now changed. On Platform X, Garcia writes:
“I hereby publicly declare and announce that I am withdrawing my previous support for Donald Trump.
I cannot support anyone who has had any involvement with this island and its activities.
Children need to be protected, everyone knew that better – screw it.
Justice for all.”
This is my public declaration and announcement, I’m reclining my past support for Donald Trump.
Anyone that was involved in any thing to do with that island and what they were doing, I just can’t support in anyway.
Children need to be protected, everyone knew better fuck…

The US boxer has over a million followers on X and more than twelve million on Instagram.
Trump activist also distances herself
Trisha Hope, Texas delegate and former Trump supporter, was there on January 6, 2021, when Trump called on his supporters to storm the Capitol. She then campaigned for those who were imprisoned as a result. But now she too has changed her attitude towards the US President. She writes on X:
“I feel physically sick when I think about the fact that I worked so hard to support Trump and it seems that he is a sick pedophile.
I can’t imagine the evil that must exist in a person to harm children.”
I feel physically ill knowing I worked so hard to support Trump and it appears he is a sick pedophile.
I can’t fathom the evil mind a person has to harm children.

More and more former Trump supporters are making critical comments
The US podcast host and comedian Andrew Schulz recently distanced himself from him in his podcast “Flagrant”, in which he had already personally interviewed Donald Trump. He supported Trump in the last election campaign, but says he now regrets it.
In his podcast, shortly before the publication of the new Epstein files, Schulz railed against Trump and his deportation policy: “If you bring a damn pedophile into play for deportation again and don’t publish the Epstein list, then shut up!” said Schulz. “I don’t want to hear any more about, ‘Oh, we have to deport the pedophiles.’ They’re right here. You are right here. There is a list of their names and you are not disclosing them.”
The famous podcaster Joe Rogan has also usually sided with Trump in the past. But recently he also took a negative position towards the current US government due to the ICE operations in Minneapolis.
