Singer-songwriter Lady Gaga paused her concert in Tokyo on Thursday evening to talk about the situation in the USA. She gave an emotional speech and expressed her sympathy.
I will be returning home in a few days and my heart aches as I think of the people, children and families across America who are being mercilessly pursued by ICE. I think of all their pain and how their lives are being destroyed right before our eyes. I also think of Minnesota and everyone at home who is living in great fear and looking for answers about what we should all do.
Gaga also addressed the government directly.
Good people shouldn’t have to fight so hard and risk their lives to achieve well-being and respect. And I hope our government is listening. I hope you will listen as we ask you to quickly change course and show mercy to all people in our country.
Lady Gaga is not the first celebrity to speak out against the immigration agency ICE. Last made Bruce Springsteen at his concert mood against Donald Trump and ICE. He dedicated a song to the mother of three Renee Good, who was shot in her car by an ICE agent in a residential area in the city of Minneapolis at the beginning of January.

Throughout her career, Lady Gaga has repeatedly used her platform to advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. On tour, she wore a sash in the colors of the transgender flag and waved it at various performances.
