Democrat Gavin Newsom is currently one of Donald Trump’s most prominent opponents. The governor of California was also recently at the WEF in Davos – and once again spoke out against Trump.

He also harshly criticized European politicians who, in his opinion, were too subservient to Trump. “I can’t stand this complicity anymore, the way people give in,” said the governor of the most populous US state to the British broadcaster Sky News at the World Economic Forum in Davos with a view to European politicians. And added:
“I should have brought a bunch of knee pads for all the leaders.”
This statement from Newsom made international headlines. This apparently motivated the governor and his team to get into the “knee pad business” themselves. This is what the Californian offers on his homepage new such schooners – each decorated with a signature from Donald Trump.

“For all your needs to humiliate yourself before Trump – now in Republican red,” the product description says. The price: 100 dollars, the equivalent of 79 francs. Or as the description says:
“For the low price of your soul.”
At these 100 francs, the knee pads are the most expensive products in the Newsome store. The only thing that costs the same is a Bible with the governor’s signature. It is not the first merchandising item aimed at the US President: you can also buy a sleeveless shirt with the inscription “Trump is not hot”. (dab)
