The European Commission has launched a public consultation to help prepare new EU rules to counter organised crime.
The Commission wants to hear the views of various stakeholders, including EU agencies and bodies, EU institutions, Member States’ national authorities, international organisations, and civil society. The public consultation is open for feedback until 10 April 2026 (midnight Brussels time).
The consultation aims to gather views on:
- the implementation of the Framework Decision;
- the scale of the threat from organised crime;
- ways of controlling that threat and non-legislative and legislative options;
- the relevant EU tools and organisations and how they operate to counter that threat.
