The Internet in Iran remains blocked. Footage is only slowly emerging that shows the full extent of the violent suppression of the mass protests on January 8th and 9th.
Activists: Doctors report frightening reports
In their report, the activists refer to shocking recordings that were analyzed by doctors. They therefore come to the conclusion that some of the killed demonstrators had previously been treated. According to the information, medical devices such as catheters and breathing tubes on the corpses fuel the suspicion that the injured died after treatment began and were taken away without being confirmed dead.
Iran’s leadership blames “terrorist elements” as well as arch-enemies the USA and Israel for the violence in the mass protests. Also because of the communication block, the information cannot be independently verified. (sda/dpa)
