The EU’s migration chief said Tuesday the bloc successfully met a “test” of its border security and “resilience to disinformation” in the handling of a migrant rush into Spain’s North African territory of Ceuta.
Last Thursday, more than 70,000 migrants crossed the border from Morocco to the Spanish enclave of Ceuta in just 24 hours. The influx fueled tensions among EU partners, which eased after a “constructive” extraordinary meeting on Tuesday.
