The arrest took place on Saturday in Miami in connection with an investigation by British police into a series of alleged sexual offenses, Bedfordshire police announced overnight. The brothers are scheduled to appear in federal court in Miami next week, US broadcaster CNN reported, citing law enforcement sources.
According to British police, the two men were taken into custody as part of an ongoing criminal case. This concerns the allegations of three victims.
Allegations from four other victims
British prosecutors said they would bring further charges against the brothers, relating to allegations made by four other victims. This includes, among other things, “rape, organizing or facilitating human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation and crimes related to child pornography content,” explained Malcolm McHaffie, head of the special crimes department.
According to the information, the alleged acts occurred between July 2010 and August 2017. According to their own statements, the public prosecutor has requested the extradition of the two men.
