According to the current Sunday trend, the gap between the AfD and the Union is shrinking. For two other parties, however, there is bad news again.

According to a new survey, the Union can narrow the gap to the AfD somewhat. In the Sunday trend collected by the polling institute Insa on behalf of “Bild am Sonntag”, the Union gained one point to 22 percent compared to the previous week, while the AfD lost one point to 28 percent.
The SPD, Greens and Left are almost on a par. The co-ruling Social Democrats lose one point and would get twelve percent if there were a federal election on Sunday. The Greens also achieved the same value (-1). The Left gained one point to eleven percent. With an unchanged four percent, the FDP and BSW would miss out on entering parliament.
For the Sunday question, Insa interviewed 1,204 people from July 6th to 10th. The statistical error tolerance is +/- 2.9 percentage points. According to the institute, the data is representative. Election surveys are generally always subject to uncertainty. Among other things, weakening party ties and increasingly short-term voting decisions make it more difficult for opinion research institutes to weight the data collected.
