Anthony Hopkins wrote film history as Hannibal Lecter in the cult film “The Silence of the Lambs”. The Welsh native even won the Oscar for Best Actor in 1992 for his performance. Exactly 29 years later, he was able to take home another golden boy – for his role as a dementia patient in “The Father”. But Anthony Hopkins is not just one of the most successful screen stars.
The 88-year-old has also been dedicated to music for years. The two-time Oscar winner has been working as a composer since his youth and learned to play the piano at the age of just 4. On Friday, Anthony Hopkins released his first-ever single. The title of the orchestral piece: “Bracken Road”.

The song is considered a homage to his childhood memories in Margam, Wales in the 1940s. The actor’s accompanying debut album, “Life Is a Dream,” will be released on August 21st. It is said to contain pieces of music that the 88-year-old composed in his twenties.
«Some of these pieces have lived in me for decades and I still return to them. My whole life is a dream,” Anthony Hopkins told the British Guardian. He further made it clear: “Music was my first love, my first desire. I’ve been composing music my whole life.”
