The US government has recently received such warnings frequently, as CNN reported, citing a US official. The warning from Israel was new and also included a concrete attack plan. Details of the plan were initially not known.
Trump: I’m number one on Iran’s hit list
Another US official said the warning could also be an attempt to influence Trump’s decisions on the Iran war, according to CNN. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently advocated a much tougher course towards Tehran and clashed with Trump over this.
The US President did not use the new Air Force One as expected on the return flight from the NATO summit in Ankara, fueling speculation about security risks. “I am number one on Iran’s death list,” he said later. (dab/sda/dpa)
