British musician Bonnie Tyler has died at the age of 75. This comes from a message on their own website highlight how BBC writes.
“Bonnie’s family and team are heartbroken to announce that Bonnie died unexpectedly last night in a hospital in Portugal as a result of the illness for which she was being treated,” it said. The page is currently unavailable due to too many views.
Recently, Tyler struggled with serious health problems. At the beginning of May she had to undergo emergency surgery in Portugal due to a perforated intestine and was temporarily in an artificial coma. She woke up from it in mid-June. Even then, her management announced that her condition was still serious.
Bonnie Tyler, whose real name is Gaynor Hopkins, was born in Wales in 1951. She grew up with several siblings in simple circumstances. She initially performed in clubs and pubs in her home country before achieving a worldwide breakthrough. She released her first big hit in 1976 with “Lost In France”. She then released several songs that went around the world – first “It’s a Heartache”, then “Total Eclipse of the Heart” and “Holding Out for a Hero”.
She has won various awards for her music and has been nominated several times for the Grammy and Brit Awards. She released her last album called “The Best Is Yet to Come” in 2021. (dab)
