Several journalists were injured during protests against the AfD federal party conference in Erfurt. A team of reporters from the right-wing libertarian portal “Apollo News” was attacked by demonstrators, the portal reported. The editor-in-chief wrote on Platform X that one of his employees had been kicked in the back of the head.
According to their own statements, “Focus Online” and “Welt” have videos that are supposed to show the attacks. A photo also shows a reporter lying on the ground and being kicked in the head. However, the police were unable to confirm the specific incident.
In the video that the editor-in-chief shared on the X platform, you can see how the reporters are insulted. A woman shouts “Fuck off!” several times.
Three reporters from Apollo News were chased out of an Antifa demo in Erfurt and beaten up.

A reporter is suddenly pushed, then the journalists start running. A group of numerous demonstrators runs after them. Apparently the attacks on the team of reporters, which the editor-in-chief reported on, occurred shortly afterwards. The attack only ended when police officers arrived, he writes. “The colleagues were treated on site by paramedics: lacerations to the head, abrasions, bruises.”

The police had previously reported that two journalists were injured when bottles were thrown at a meeting. A journalist was therefore taken away in an ambulance for further treatment. The police initially did not provide any information about which media the reporters worked for.
