The alleged perpetrator is also dead, said police in the western province of British Columbia. Two more dead people were found at a second location that was probably connected to the crime.

The police are investigating at full speed. Initially, nothing was known about the background to the crime and the possible motive of the shooter. The authorities initially did not provide any information about the identity of the victims.
