The US Department of Defense made part of the so-called Epstein files public shortly before the end of the legally prescribed deadline. Several US media reported this on Friday evening.
These involve several thousand individual documents. This includes photos, video recordings, court transcripts and transcripts of hearings.
The Justice Department’s website states that it sought to protect the personal information of Epstein’s victims as well as the information of “other private individuals.”
Not all relevant documents have yet been published, as Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche explained on Friday evening. Some of it has not yet been completely blacked out.
