Former US President Bill Clinton commented on the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. He is calling on the U.S. Department of Justice to fully disclose all documents related to the convicted sex offender. His spokesman, Angel Ureña, criticized the authorities’ previous information policy on Monday and accused them of deliberate restraint.
Accusation of secrecy
According to Ureña, the state must fully explain which files it has and why not all of them have been released yet. The current approach to publishing the so-called “Epstein files” suggests that “someone or something is being protected”. However, Ureña made it clear that Clinton did not need such protection. The demand for transparency is apparently intended to show that the ex-president has nothing to hide.

Explosive details
The 79-year-old’s name appears several times in the documents that have already been published. One photo in particular is causing a stir: It shows Clinton in a hot tub next to a person whose identity has been obscured.
In the past, Clinton admitted to traveling on Epstein’s private jet, but always emphasized that she knew nothing about his criminal activities. With the call for total disclosure, his team is now trying to shift the focus to the Justice Department’s information policy.
