A car drove into a crowd in the Netherlands. Nine people were injured, three of them seriously, the police said. They do not assume that the act was premeditated, but the investigation is still ongoing. The incident occurred in the municipality of Nunspeet, about 70 kilometers east of Amsterdam.
Light parade was canceled
According to media reports, the incident occurred during a light parade with decorated cars. Many spectators stood on the side of the road. After the incident, large numbers of emergency services were deployed. According to the police, several trauma helicopters were also in use.
The neighboring municipality of Elburg announced that the parade had been canceled. (sda/dpa)
