After the Hollywood star and his wife were found dead in their home, the couple’s son was arrested, US media reports.

The two bodies were said to have been found with stab wounds, the US broadcasters NBC and ABC reported unanimously. US media reported a large police presence in front of the director’s house in the Brentwood district.

The US writer Stephen King described Reiner as a “wonderful friend, political ally and brilliant filmmaker”. The US actor Ben Stiller wrote that he was a big fan of Reiner. “He made some of the most important films for my generation.”
