On Sunday, two suspected terrorists shot at a gathering of people on Bondi Beach in the Australian city of Sydney. They celebrated a Jewish festival on the beach in Australia.
The attack killed 16 people and injured another 29.
The youngest of the victims was 10-year-old Matilda. She died from her injuries in the hospital on Sunday evening. The girl’s family had confirmed to Australian mediathat she is among the victims.

Eli S., a 41-year-old British rabbi, is also among the deceased. The father of five was an active member of the Jewish community and traveled from London to Sydney as one of the organizers of the festival.

Another rabbi, Gabi K., also died. In 1970 he immigrated to Australia from the Soviet Union “ABC” reported.
87-year-old Alexander K. was a Holocaust survivor. He and his wife traveled to Bondi Beach together, she told Australian media. The 87-year-old’s wife, Larissa K., confirmed his death outside a hospital in Sydney.

Another victim was Peter M., a former police officer who now taught the sport of rugby to primary school students. Club volunteers described him as “the heart and soul of the club”.

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot confirmed to Australian media that a Frenchman was among the victims of the attack.
27-year-old Dan E. played for Rockdale Ilinden Football Club. According to eyewitnesses, Dan E. tried to protect a girl during the attack and died in the process.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry also confirmed that another rabbi, Yaakov L., was among the victims. He worked in a Jewish center in Sydney.
At least one other Israeli person was also killed and one person with Israeli citizenship was injured.
Little is known about the condition and chances of the injured. They are being treated in different hospitals in the city of Sydney.
One of the two perpetrators was able to be overpowered on site and was later shot by a police officer. The other shooter is in the hospital with injuries and is being monitored. (nib)
