The AfD is rising in polls and reaches its record high from October. Things will be tight for alliances without right-wing extremists in the federal government.
The AfD is making further gains in surveys. In the Sunday trend of the polling institute Insa for “Bild am Sonntag”, the AfD gains one point compared to the previous week and stands at 27 percent. The CDU/CSU remain at 25 percent, the SPD at 15 percent. The Greens get eleven percent and the Left reaches ten percent.
A total of twelve percent belong to parties below the five percent threshold. This means that parliamentary majorities are possible from as little as 44 percent, according to Insa boss Hermann Binkert.
The following constellations arise for possible alliances at the federal level: Black-Red comes to 40 percent, Red-Red-Green to 36 percent, Blue-Black to 52 percent.
With a view to the Green Party conference in Hanover, a majority of those surveyed – 43 percent – welcomed the fact that the Greens are no longer involved in the federal government. Only 21 percent thought this was bad. For 20 percent the question was not important, nine percent were undecided, seven percent did not provide any information.
