Ashe’s ‘Stop The Wedding!’ turns a big interruption into a pop scene
The official video gives the song a cinematic setting as it enters the Top 20.
Ashe · Stop The Wedding!
‘Stop The Wedding!’ enters EUR RADIO’s displayed Europe Top 20 at #8. The chart has one stored week for Ashe’s song, so its current place is an arrival, not yet a pattern. Its emphatic title, however, already suggests the kind of scene a music video can make vivid.
The official video is directed by Silken Weinberg, according to the credits published with Ashe’s release. The song is also linked from Ashe’s verified artist page. Rather than treating the title as a literal account of anyone’s life, it is more rewarding to see how a theatrical premise turns private feeling into public spectacle.
Watch the video below and notice the distance between the song’s dramatic command and the quieter decisions in the performance. The next chart update will give us a first measure of whether this entrance becomes a sustained European run.
