LISA brings Bangkok into the frame with ‘SaWaDiKa’
The earlier chart leader uses a Thai greeting as the entrance to a new visual chapter.
LISA · SaWaDiKa
‘SaWaDiKa’ previously occupied the top of EUR RADIO’s Europe Top 20. Its place in the stored chart is one reason to revisit the song, but the official video offers another: it turns a greeting into a sequence of scenes rooted in LISA’s home country.
Sony Music’s release note identifies the track as the lead single from the ‘PRESS PLAY’ EP and says its title draws on a Thai greeting. The video was filmed in Bangkok, with Bang Jae Yeob credited as director. The locations, performance and choreography give the song a sense of place as well as scale.
Watch the official video below, then explore the chart archive. A former #1 can remain interesting after it leaves the current twenty because the recording, film and its path through the chart tell different parts of the same story.
