Danish citizens over 50 will be offered a fourth Covid-19 vaccine dose in October, prime minister Mette Frederiksen announced on Wednesday. But vulnerable people will have the opportunity of re-vaccination from next week after a new variant, BA5, is on the rise. Danish authorities announced a shift in strategy, no longer believing vaccination can limit spread of the virus, but instead mainly prevent severe illness.
