British pop star Rod Stewart had to take a short break from a US concert and receive oxygen. The celebrity portal TMZ reports this and also publishes a video of the incident. In the recording of the performance, the 81-year-old initially appears weak and hardly moves. You can also see Stewart supporting himself while singing. When the musician calls members of his team to him from the side of the stage, according to TMZ, they rush to the singer with an oxygen bottle, who takes a few deep breaths using a mask.
Rod Stewart doesn’t hide the incident
“The show must go on,” the singer shouts into the microphone in a good mood, as can be seen in the TMZ video. The concert in the US state of Utah continued after a short break. He almost fainted, Stewart explains to his audience in the recording. You can hear the fans cheering loudly for him. Then the singer sits down on a staircase in the middle of the stage and starts the next song.
According to media reports, Stewart recently canceled or postponed some appearances for health reasons. The pop star has several US concerts scheduled until August. (sda/dpa)
