The USA released new UFO images on Friday. It’s the one fourth tranche of images and videos that will be made public as part of the “Pursue” project. The first recordings were published on May 8th, and the US government is gradually releasing new images and videos.
The recordings released on Friday include a total of 40 files, including 14 documents, 19 videos, four audio files and three images.
The new releases are similar to the previous three. Documents are often blacked out and the images are often not exactly recognizable, as are the videos. The files range from the late 1940s to 2025.
Unknown “green fireballs” and a “deformed balloon”
One document is frequently mentioned in the media: a 1949 meeting in Los Alamos, New Mexico, attended by leading physicists and scientists, including those who worked on the infamous Manhattan Project.

The document states that participants tried in vain to explain the “green fireballs” that were spotted in the area. At the time, the theory was also circulating that meteors were responsible for the phenomenon. However, according to the minutes, one astronomer noted that “something like this… has never been observed in connection with meteorite impacts.”
Another image that is often cited in the UFO files is a 2020 sighting over the Atlantic.
In a so-called “Range Fouler Debrief” it is said that the object “looked like a large, somewhat deformed balloon in shape.” Such a report is common practice in the US Navy “to document the circumstances of an unauthorized intrusion into controlled airspace during active military operations or exercises.” writes CBS News.
Not the last installment
The Pentagon also said on Friday that this was not the last installment of alleged UFO sightings. “The War Department and our partner agencies are actively working on the next release of UFO files,” it says.
