U2 open a new chapter with ‘The Greatest Show On Earth’

U2’s ‘The Greatest Show On Earth’ appears as a new entry at #11 in EUR RADIO’s displayed Europe Top 20, with one stored week. Its position is a snapshot of the song’s arrival; the more substantial question is how its life on the chart develops over the coming weeks.

U2 introduced the track alongside plans for the ‘Carnaval De Luz’ era and a world tour. The band’s official announcement points to an Anton Corbijn directed video, bringing a longtime visual collaborator into the opening of this chapter. The title promises scale, while the song’s place in a new set of recordings invites listeners to hear what the band means by a show now.

Watch the official video below, and use the chart archive to follow the response beyond the announcement. A famous name can secure attention on day one; the next positions will show what listeners keep returning to.
