Two routes into Fontaines D.C.’s ‘Dopamine Chamber’
‘Japan’ and the ROSALÍA collaboration ‘Where Is Gone?’ show two sides of the Dublin band’s new album.

Two Fontaines D.C. songs caught our attention at the same time: ‘Japan’ and ‘Where Is Gone?’, the latter featuring ROSALÍA. A chart can draw a listener to one track for a day; an album makes it possible to follow the connection between several tracks. Here, that album is ‘Dopamine Chamber’, released on 16 October 2026 through XL Recordings.
The Dublin group’s own album listing places ‘Where Is Gone?’ eighth in an eleven-song sequence and ‘Japan’ tenth. The former is credited as a collaboration with ROSALÍA and runs 5:16; ‘Japan’ runs 3:14. Their positions near the end of the record give a useful listening route: begin with either official video below, then hear the album in sequence to discover what surrounds it.
The album is Fontaines D.C.’s fifth studio record and was produced by James Ford. It follows 2024’s ‘Romance’, a release the band lists alongside earlier albums ‘Skinty Fia’, ‘A Hero’s Death’ and ‘Dogrel’ on its official site. That context is more substantial than a single week’s rank: these songs are part of a continuing body of work, while their individual performances on streaming platforms may move at different speeds.
The ‘Japan’ video is the first watch here. The second official clip, ‘Where Is Gone?’, is linked immediately below. We will follow any verified EUR RADIO chart appearances separately, rather than merging a platform’s Irish results with our Europe Top 20. Both songs are worth a return visit even if one passes through a chart quickly.
