SIENNA SPIRO sings about the person who never arrives

‘Great Expectation’ climbs four places in a twelfth stored chart week.

SIENNA SPIRO · Great Expectation

The title ‘Great Expectation’ sounds hopeful until SIENNA SPIRO explains the experience behind it. In her label’s account, she imagined someone appearing outside her New York apartment every morning, even as she knew he would not come. The song grew into a reflection on expectation itself and the comfort, and risk, of living with an imagined version of someone.

It appears on her debut album ‘Visitor’. SIENNA and Miriam Maslin co-directed the official video, whose vintage variety-show setting gives the song’s private thought a public stage. The arrangement moves from piano toward a fuller sound, mirroring the growth of a small hope into something hard to contain.

In EUR RADIO’s displayed chart, ‘Great Expectation’ has risen four places to #10. It has 12 stored weeks and a peak of #9. Watch the video below, then follow the history: this is a long running track still capable of moving upward.
