Brussels, (Brussels Morning)- Prime Minister Rudi Vervoort (PS) and State Secretary for Urban Planning Pascal Smet (One.Brussels-Vooruit) have proposed Good Living, which should help determine the appearance of the city in the future. The urge to rule disappears, in its place come greater principles and precise objectives. “Quality urban planning is paramount,” says Pascal Smet.
The previous Regional Urban Planning Regulation, now Good Living, dates back to 2007. It is a catalogue with very detailed rules about streets and squares, roofs and facades, but also how deep you can build in the garden.
