Brussels, (Brussels Morning)- A delegation from the Central Supervisory Board for Prisons (CTRG) paid a second visit to the construction site of the future prison in Haren on 13 June. In response to this, it drafted a new opinion and considerably expanded its list of recommendations.
The first visit of the CTRG dates from November 23, 2021. Even then, the Supervisory Board recommended that the space for the walk should be large enough for actual physical activity, the layout of cells should be revised within the applicable international standards and each bed for fixation must be replaced by a bed worthy of the name.
