Another day, another attempt to end the war in Ukraine, now entering its fourth winter. As the US piles pressure on the country to make concessions, the French president rolled out the red carpet for President Zelenskyy and his wife Olena Zelenska. As they move on to Ireland today, concern is rising that Ukraine will be forced into a bad deal. For an update, we are joined on set by Euronews’ Ukraine correspondent Sasha Vakulina and Euronews’ EU editor Maria Tadeo.
So on set, we will be joined by Andrius Kubilius, the EU Commissioner for defense and space. The center right politician from Lithuania has twice been Prime Minister, party leader and even had a stint as a member of the European Parliament. As EU commissioner for defense based in Brussels, his task now is to rearm Europe.
But most of us are focused on counting the days to Christmas, especially now that advent has begun. The city of Brussels though has sparked a major controversy among worshipers for installing an alternative kind of crib in the iconic Grand Place. Aida Sanchez reports.
