Late on Thursday evening (US local time), Colbert presented the last edition of his show on US television. Trump had long made it no secret that he didn’t think much of the long-time late-night talker’s show. After the end he wrote on Truth Social: “You could grab any passer-by off the street and they would be better than this total idiot. Thank God he’s finally gone!”.
