After a 14-year break, “Trump Vodka” is available again: Eric Trump announced on Friday that the spirit can now be pre-ordered. The timing is no coincidence – so-called Black Friday traditionally marks the start of the Christmas shopping season in the USA. The brand was launched in 2005 but disappeared from the US market in 2011 due to lack of demand.

The “Great American Spirit”
The new bottle bears the US flag and is marketed on the official website as “The Great American Spirit”. “Raise your glass to freedom, opportunity and the enduring greatness of the United States of America,” says the product’s website. In addition to patriotic rhetoric, the site also offers cocktail suggestions – including names like “Trump and Tonic”, “Freedom Martini” or “American Mule”. Puns on bar culture classics, apparently tailored to an audience with a penchant for national symbols and Trump brand loyalty.
The vodka is produced in the United States. The company 47 Spirits LLC, based in Miami, is responsible for sales. According to a report by the US business magazine Forbes, the company was founded in May 2025 and acquired the rights to Trump’s name and trademarks through licensing agreements with two Trump Organization companies: Trump Wine Marks LLC and DTTM Operations LLC. Both are wholly owned by the sitting president, according to Trump’s most recent financial disclosure.

Trump himself has been considered a teetotaler for decades. However, that doesn’t stop his family from marketing alcoholic products under the well-known name. The relaunch is part of a series of new brand campaigns by the Trump Organization. In addition to vodka, the family continues to operate the Trump Winery in Virginia – a large winery with an estimated market value of $44 million. And even a Trump beer pong set came onto the market as a licensed product in 2025.
The Trump Organization is the private business empire of the Trump family. It includes real estate, hotels, golf courses, licensing businesses and branded products. Legally, it is run as a conglomerate of hundreds of individual companies that are centrally controlled from the company’s headquarters in New York. During his first term in office, Donald Trump’s sons Eric and Donald Jr. handed over operational leadership – officially separate from the presidency, but still in family hands.
Eric Trump is now executive vice president. He regularly appears in public as his father’s spokesman. His wife Lara Trump has held a senior position at the Republican National Committee (RNC) since 2023.
Return to series
The revival of Trump vodka is not alone. According to Forbes, the Trump Organization has been pushing new product lines for months – from cryptocurrencies to digital perfumes to its own smartphone. The latter was announced in the summer of 2025 for $499, with a $100 deposit – but according to NBC News, many customers are still waiting for delivery.
The name “Trump” is also breaking new ground internationally: in the Maldives, the organization is currently licensing its brand name for a planned luxury resort. The investment will take place through digital ownership shares marketed by a Saudi developer.
Ownership, control – and old questions
It has not yet been confirmed whether Donald Trump is personally involved in the new vodka business. According to Forbes, his most recent financial disclosure only shows that he owns the relevant trademark rights. The license is granted through two of his companies – whether income from this flows directly to him remains unclear. One thing is clear: Trump can also receive income from the family business during his presidency through a trust fund he founded. He is the sole beneficiary, with his eldest son Donald Jr. serving as trustee.
At the beginning of 2017, Trump’s lawyer Sheri Dillon publicly stated: “[Trump] has directed us to take all realistically possible steps to make it clear that he is not using the presidency for his personal gain.”
However, according to entries in the British commercial register, the Trump Organization recently confirmed that Trump will continue to exercise control over his companies in his second term in office. A spokesman for the Trump Organization has not yet commented on the new vodka product. According to Forbes, the president’s next mandatory financial report must be submitted by May 15, 2026. With a postponement, a later date in August would also be possible.
